KiisFM denies The Daily Telegraph claims its hired royal prank DJ

ARN has hit back at claims that KiisFM has hired royal hoax DJ Mel Greig to work alongside Big Brother winner Tim Dormer.

An article that appeared in The Daily Telegraph today claims radio industry insiders confirm that Greig had been offered a role.

The article is accompanied by a photograph of the pair together, which The Daily Telegraph said appears to cement the claims.

ARN’s national content director Duncan Campbell said: “Let me reiterate that there is no truth to these rumours. We have not met with Mel Greig or discussed the possibility of Mel and Tim presenting a show on any of our stations”.

Dormer currently presents a brief movie segment on KiisFM's breakfast show, presented by Kyle and Jackie O.

AdNews understands that the photograph used to accompany The Daily Telegraph story was not taken at ARN or the KiisFM studios.

Greig left Southern Cross Austereo after a prank call aired that led to British nurse Jacintha Saldanha taking her own life. The nurse had unwittingly put the call through to the Duchess of Cambridge’s hospital ward.
