MELBOURNE: Pacific Brands has sent request for proposal (RFP) documents to eight agencies as part of its $13 million master media account review.

AdNews understands five media agencies and three strategic consultancies were issued with the documents on Friday (30 August).

Completed RFP's are due back on Wednesday (11 August ) and shortlisted agencies will be asked to present two briefs the following week.

Incumbent Mediacom, as well as Ikon, Mitchell & Partners, OMD and ZenithOptimedia have been approached. Naked is understood to be one of three strategic consultancies involved in the RFP.

In July (AdNews 16 July page 1) AdNews reported the owner of clothing and footwear brands including Bonds, Berlei and Holeproof was poised to commence a review of agency arrangements.

The RFP for creative agencies is expected within the coming weeks.

Pacific Brands had a main media spend of $13.2 million in the year to April, down from $22.2 million in the previous corresponding period, according to Nielsen.
