Y&R Melbourne reveals first work for Alfa Romeo

The latest campaign is centred around the launch of its first ever SUV.

Y&R Melbourne has released its first work for Fiat Chrysler Australia, launching Alfa Romeo's first ever SUV, the Stelvio.

The agency won the auto account in January this year, following a competitive pitch. The account previously sat with Cummins and Partners.

The campaign, 'Start Something', is led by a 30 second TV ad that asks the question 'when did we become so confused and conformed?' urging viewers to break that mould.

“We’re thrilled to be launching the highly-anticipated all-new Alfa Romeo Stelvio here in Australia. Stelvio seamlessly blends everything that Alfa Romeo stands for: style, passion, exhilaration and individuality," Alfa Romeo director of marketing and product Fulvio Antonelli says.

"Our launch campaign captures these feelings perfectly”.

“We’re excited to be working with FCA and specifically Alfa Romeo. The launch of the Stelvio is the first step in an exciting relationship," Y&R Melbourne ECD Jake Barrow says.

Y&R Australia went through a leadership 'switch-up' earlier this year, naming Pete Bosilkovski as CEO, a day after former CEO Phil McDonald announced his departure.

Bosilkovski resigned from Leo Burnett in February and was tipped to resurface at a WPP agency after his three month period of gardening leave.
