Use your unused data to grab a week’s vacation on your very own private island - just like Richard Branson.

Eleven and Whybin\TBWA Sydney have combined to launch their first PR and social media campaign for new client, Virgin Mobile.

‘Data Auction’ is the world’s first online auction powered by unused mobile data. It aims to drive talkability around the telco’s data rollover product offering, 

The campaign sees Virgin Mobile bringing down the hammer on other telcos stealing back their customers' unused data at the end of each month’s billing cycle.

Virgin Mobile is offering customers the chance to use their unused data as bidding currency in a unique auction of 30 exciting items over 30 days, including a week’s vacation on your own private island.

The campaign includes a promo trailer developed by Whybin\TBWA Sydney. PR and social media activations will accompany the film to drive engagement across earned and owned media.

Whybin\TBWA won the account in January of this year.
