Surf Life Saving Australia launches interactive gaming billboard in Bondi.

Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA) has partnered with JCDecaux for its latest effort to raise funds for the organisation. The interactive touch-screen in Sydney's Bondi invites people to partake in a 'whack-a-mole' arcade-style game which finishes with a prompt to donate through 'tap and go' technology.

The 'Be a Lifesaver' campaign is the work of media agency OMD and JCDecaux Creative Solutions. It will run from 24 January through to 7 February. Located on Campbell Parade, the campaign is at one of the busiest bus shelters in Bondi Beach during its most visited season to maximise exposure.

This is the third year JCDecaux had provided pro bono work for the SLSA. JCDecaux's head creative solutions, Alan Klein, stating that the pairing of tap and go technology with interactive OOH is crucial for audience engagement and it has already become a highly “successful campaign.”

In September of last year, Val Morgan launched a similar tap and go charitable donation billboard in partnership with Pedigree.
