Subaru taps American comedian for XV campaign

Subaru is pushing its latest XV model in a campaign voiced by American comedian Pablo Francisco, famous for his move trailer impersonations.

From creative agency, Disciple, the 45-second ad features an “ordinary guy, in a world where space is not what it seems”.

The ad follows a man and woman as they complete banal daily chores, such as picking up groceries and driving to a friend's house, dramatically narrated by Francisco's voice-over.

“The all-new, all-entertaining Subaru XV” spot was launched online and centres on being 'designed with attitude, built for fun'.

The campaign runs across TV, digital, film, and social platforms. XV is the fourth major model under the Subaru 'do' brand strategy which launched in March of last year.
