Subaru and Discple have brought Billy Birmingham and Austen Tayshus back together for another swing at Australiana.

Do you like puns? Well you're in luck then because the new Subaru ad has one every 2.46 seconds.

Subaru's creative agency Disciple hit upon the idea to reunite comedians Billy Birmingham of 12th man fame and Austen Tayshus to revisit their hit, Australiana.

The comedy track spent 13 weeks at number one in 1983, and became the highest grossing Australian single of all time.

Birmingham wrote the words on Australiana with Tayshus performing, and they've done the same again, this time riffing on the great Australian road trip.

Dropping an Australian place name on average once every 2.46 seconds, the ad features a family driving around in an Outback 4WD trying to organise a road trip with other like-minded families.

The first long play of the TV commercial was show at the St George open air cinemas on Wednesday, and the ad should be rolled out on TV, radio, and online over the coming weeks.
