QBE insurance takes strong stance on South Australian road safety

When road safety is not taken into account it is not only those in the accidents that are impacted.

QBE insurance has released a chilling new road safety ad for South Australia from The Core Agency.

South Australia are committing to reducing the state road toll as they have the highest per capita in Australia with 100 fatalities recorded last year. With that in mind The Core Agency aims to tell the importance of road safety in the ad.

The spot emulates a road collision, replacing cars with photos of kids and their families. The extended four-minute spot ends with the ad being shown to the families and parents of the kids in the photos.

Shot in slow-motion, the visual is intended to show how much devastation a vehicle impact can have, in particular on the families involved.

QBE Australia & New Zealand chief customer officer Bettina Pidcock said: “There’s nothing more important than keeping our roads safe for everyone. We hope the authenticity of this content will help this critical message cut through to drivers and encourage them to make small commitments to changing their behaviour.

The campaign will air across South Australian commercial TV, press, digital, social and website integration.
