New Zealand Transport Agency and Clemenger BDDO team up to show how dangerous it is to drive while stoned.

Clemenger BBDO, Wellington has launched 'Thoughts' - a 'flexible content' series for the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) aimed at stoner drivers.

The spot follows two young guys driving home from an afternoon sesh, as the hipsters call it, deep in thought. The driver is stoned and trying very hard to stay focus on the road, but his mind is trailing off to other topics such as free range chips and the war on mosquitos, leading to a collision with another car.

Australian comedian Josh Thomson is the star of the commercial, adding commentary in the form of the voiceover. The 'Thoughts' campaign will continue to add different comedian’s interpretation of Thomson’s wandering mind for future editions.

Clemenger BBDO has said they are using different personas for the voice over to avoid stereotyping stoners – like a certain sloth may have recently.

Comedian and What We Do in the Shadows actor, Cori Gonzalez-Macuer, will voice the next iteration of the ad to be released tomorrow.
