Newcastle hitches its wagon to Doritos' train as it attempts to crash the Super Bowl again.

Newcastle Brown Ale is hoping lightning will strike twice as it attempts to crash the Super Bowl yet again.

Last year it made waves with a video featuring Anna Kendrick, playing up the fact that it didn't have the marketing budget of its larger American cousins, to the point where they couldn't actually say the words 'Super' and 'Bowl' in relation to the rather large sporting event taking place.

The video went viral and upstaged its more illustrious rivals, not bad for a brand which is all about 'No Bollocks'.

This year its back with Droga5, hoping to crash the event by hi-jacking Doritos' efforts.

The snack brand has been promoting its 'Crash the Superbowl' campaign, asking amateur advertising wannabes to create an ad for the brand.

Newcastle Ale has responded by making its own ad, which doesn't mention Doritos and features some not too subtle product placement of their own product.

There is reportedly more to come from Newcastle Brown Ale in the next few weeks as the Super Bowl approaches.
