Leggo's pushy Nonna is back

J. Walter Thompson and Leggo's Nonna just wants to dance and make the love.

J. Walter Thompson has launched the latest iteration of Leggo's 'Have you eaten' brand platform, which features the quintessential Aussie Italian Nonna with an undeniable passion for Italian food to promote Leggo's pasta sauce.

In the latest spot, the cheeky Nonna is asked what she's cooking for dinner and replies with “I'm making the love”.

The Nonna then proceeds to dance around the kitchen to Italian music.

The campaign was first launched in early June, this is the first campaign J. Walter Thompson have developed for Leggo's having won the Simplot account last year.

At the time, Leggo's senior brand manager Tom Peek said he hopes Nonna will reignite Aussies' love affair for Italian.

“We are really excited to see the campaign come to life. Nonna represents the best of Leggo's authentic Aussie Italian cooking, a belief that great food starts with quality ingredients, her passion for life and love, and a cheeky sense of humour in everything she does,” he says.
