Indeed has launched its first Australian ad to show how important a complete job search is in landing a job.

The world's largest and number one job site, Indeed, has launched its first Australian brand campaign, and being aptly named 'The Complete Job Search', it shines light on how “no job search is complete without Indeed”.

Indeed's mission is a very simple and powerful one; to help people get jobs.

Indeed says it attracts more than four million Aussies each month with an array of prospects and jobs that aren't available on other sites. Despite this, research found that only 10% of Australians are aware of all job opportunities available to them.

‘The Complete Job Search’ was created by Indeed’s internal creative team and developed by Australian creative director Mark Harricks to dramatise what other jobs might look like if only half completed.

A close encounter on an unfinished road and a half-built house that has been inhabited by a family of ducks are used to relate to an incomplete job search.

“You would never do an incomplete job, so why do an incomplete job search?” the ad asks.

“What I wanted to do was set up the audience expectation and then disrupt it visually, with an uncomfortable, incomplete situation. By presenting people in these situations, with no relief in sight, we leave the viewer with a sense of unease that the job is still incomplete”, director of the commercial Gaysorn Thavat says.

The locally produced campaign is being rolled out across TV, out of home advertising and digital video until the end of the year.
