Hipages rails against slow construction

A cheeky new hipages campaign has hijacked construction sites with banners calling out the speed of construction – or lack thereof.

Hipages has positioned banners that ask “Need some help finishing that project?” at prominent construction sites across Sydney and Melbourne.

The banners have been placed in conspicuous locations, including light rail construction sites on Sydney’s George Street and Elizabeth Street, and Metro tunnel sites in Melbourne at Flinders Street and Swanston Street.

The campaign draws attention to the common frustration with construction projects, big and small, frequently taking much longer than promised.

Hipages offers a digital platform for connecting tradespeople and consumers in order to streamline the traditionally difficult process.

A YouTube video of the guerrilla tactics has been posted by hipages, with hooded men in a white van erecting the banners overnight.

The clip ends with a tradie removing one of the banners before the tagline “Change the Way You Tradie” is displayed.
