Foxtel has launched its new ‘It’s just not cricket’ campaign to mark the introduction of its new channel Foxtel Cricket.

The dedicated cricket channel gives Foxtel the rights to broadcast all elite men’s and women’s cricket matches ad-break free.

Speaking to AdNews last week Foxtel CEO Patrick Delany says the format is a new era of TV sponsorship as it moves towards ad integration.

“The key to advertising is integrating and associating with a brand that’s absolutely loved, passionately loved. If Fox Cricket can be a loved brand the same way in which Fox League and Fox Footy is, then you’re really on a sticky wicket,” Delany says.

The advert was created by DDB Sydney which was added to Foxtel’s roster in July to lead its brand and retail work.
