Japanese retailer Daiso has a new cinema ad, to be shown in cinemas surrounding Daiso stores.

Japanese retailer Daiso has signalled a new push in Australia, upping its marketing with a new cinema ad.

The ad was created by Sense, and “represents all the fun, colour, and excitement of the Daiso shopping experience”.

The concept underpinning the ad is “join the Daiso tribe”, and features characters dressed in Daiso clothing “existing in a Daiso world”.

The cinema ad will be running in catchment areas immediately surrounding Daiso stores, and in movies which appeal to Daiso's target consumer of women in their teens and early 20s.

Along with the cinema ad, there will be in-store activations and online and social communication elements to the campaign.
