A collaborative effort from Bohemia and M&C Saatchi has Clipsal make one dog the envy of his neighbourhood.

Bohemia and M&C Saatchi are behind the new campaign for Clipsal by Schneider Electric, featuring canine actors.

The neighbourhood’s top dog draws envious glances from the rest of the locals as he jauntily makes his way home, where Clipsal gadgets make his house run like clockwork.

“Clipsal has supported generations of Australians who are house proud and invest considerable time and emotion into making their homes comfortable, safe and beautiful,” says Schneider Electric’s Clipsal businesses vice president, Chris Kerr.

It is a considerable change of strategy for Clipsal, which for the last 17 years has sponsored the Adelaide 500 Supercars event.

“Cue the story of a bulldog coming home and having things all her own way. It’s a bit of fun and personally, I love ‘Master Your Castle’ and see it being a very rich creative territory for years to come," says M&C Saatchi chief creative officer Cam Blackley.

Bohemia media director Mark Echo says: “The partnership between Bohemia and Schneider Electric continues to grow and we are setting up a range of media partnerships including this opportunity for the Clipsal brand with Nine.

“It has been a truly collaborative effort between Bohemia, Clipsal and M&C Saatchi to shape the campaign idea beyond the standard sponsorship and into different parts of their business.”

Clipsal is one of the primary sponsors for Channel Nine’s renovation reality show, The Block, and the 30-second commercial first aired 5 August. The campaign also features an online component, including e-commerce site The Blockshop.

M&C Saatchi purchased Bohemia in 2017 and this campaign is one of the first pieces of work the two have worked on together.
