Kids in perpetual motion is the theme of Big W’s latest campaign by M&C Saatchi.

Big W has launched the continuation of its “Kids Happen and it's wonderful” campaign, emphasising the importance of family.

The campaign aligns with Big W’s brand mission – to make a real difference for families – and is an authentic take on the realities of family life in Australia.

A whirlwind of motion from a baby’s first steps to skating and swimming, the fast-paced ad shows once kids start moving, they hardly pause for breath.

At least until they take a well-earned nap, roller blades still on, as one clip from the montage amusingly demonstrates, before it’s back to the action.

A final overhead of a cul-de-sac is another nostalgia-inducing inclusion in the piece designed to provoke memories of the everyday Australian’s childhood.

“At Big W we’re all for kids. That’s why we’ve got everything kids need to keep going and everything parents need to keep up” says Kristen Linders, general manager of marketing at Big W.

“Kids Happen and Big W provided real solutions to make this journey easier for our customers. We know families need real solutions, for their everyday needs, at affordable prices - especially when raising kids.”

The campaign will run across TV, social and radio, supported by the Big W positional catalogue.
