HotelTonight launches experiential roadshow featuring breakdancers, stunning views, and yoga.

It turns out all you need to draw a crowd in Sydney are performers in animal onesies breakdancing inside a converted shipping container.

Hotel booking app HotelTonight and consumer agency The Red Republic converted two shipping containers into a hotel room at Circular Quay in Sydney over the weekend, complete with glass walls for easy viewings.

However, it wasn't just the rooms making people stop and stare with “a variety of quirky happenings” taking place, from pyjama clad yoga moves and in-room work outs to disco dance parties, and animal onesie break-dancing.

“Our mantra is to live a life less planned. We’re on a quest to make travelling more fun so thought it was fitting to deliver luxuriously unique accommodation in some of Australia’s most inspiring and extraordinary locations – worthy of a trip before the suite disappears and moves on to a new home,” HotelTonight regional director for Asia Pacific Stefan Cordiner said.

The three-tonne structure will be on the move though to other places around Australia from August, with app users able to book a stay at the travelling container.
