Adidas hoping to leverage Sony Bill Williams' fan base to #leaveitsmark

Bulldog, Rooster, and All Black Sonny Bill Williams have starred in three branded content pieces for sportswear company Adidas, with the company hoping the ads will help it #leaveitsmark on Sonny Bill fans.

The rugby star featured in key films centring around determination, resilience, and commitment, with the last launching on YouTube today.

All three films were pushed out via the star's social media channels, and housed on the Adidas Rugby YouTube channel, with related content on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

All three films are branded with the #leaveyourmark hashtag to get a conversation going around the identifier, and Adidas' PR manager Elizabeth O'Neill said the company hoped to leverage Williams' fans to help spread the campaign.

“Sony inspires so many with his incredible drive and commitment to excel at everything he sets his mind to,” she said.

“We wanted to inspire his fans by celebrating such an incredible athlete [who is] determined to leave his mark on the world.”
