Freeview, Australia’s free digital television service, launched the next phase in its TV campaign that advises viewers that if they are still paying for TV, they don’t need to.

The campaign launched on Sunday, April 11 with a prime time evening “roadblock” in metropolitan TV markets at 6.29pm. It reached a combined audience of 5,430,534 viewers across the Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth metropolitan markets and regional areas, according to figures from OzTAM.

The campaign, which will air in metro markets for five weeks, features a 60-second spot reminding viewers that with so much variety available for free, there’s no need to pay for TV.
