South East Queenslanders will have the chance to gain a Queensland getaway "for a thong"
and save up to 60 percent on their holiday as part of a new Tourism Queensland campaign
designed to appeal to Queenslanders' sense of fun.
The "Queensland, Going for a Thong" campaign aims to achieve cut-through in the competitive battle for tourism dollars by appealing to Queenslanders' laid-back and irreverent natures.
The campaign is coordinated in partnership with leading online accommodation provider
Wotif.com and will be promoted through online, radio, print and outdoor channels for two weeks, with people able to book rooms for travel until August.
The campaign has incorporated more than 230 tourism operators from across the state.
