Ed Kicker: Why are ad agencies obsessed with flash websites?

You - ad agencies - all love flash websites almost as must as 30 and 60 second TVCs. But unlike TVCs, as users we all hate flash.

 

Social media guru Laurel Papworth has a great post on crappy flash sites, which can't be read on the iPhone or iPad and cut traffic by up to 50% according to some figures.

 

Most of the top agencies with the exception of Whybin TBWA are all sinners. Clemenger, JWT...You name them they've got 'em.

 

I like the Whybin TBWA site. It's the shape of the website for now and the forseeable future.

 

Could somebody out there tell me what you are all thinking? Why are you using flash?
