Countdown of Awesome: Space singers and of ad pros

19 November 2013

This week we have crazy morphing tables, the truth about advertising people and Gaga in space!

5) Crazy Morphing Magic Table Surface

What if you could create a physical representation from a virtual image of a physical object? Confused? Well, watch this video to see how the crazy morphing magic table works. Lots of potential applications with this like being able to physically touch someone from thousands of miles away? Wait, that sounded a bit sinister but you get the point.

4) Refuge’s ‘Don’t Cover it Up’ campaign

Half of young women in the UK have experienced some form of abuse but they are unlikely to talk about it or report it. Refuge and BBH worked with popular beauty blogger Lauren Luke to produce a special YouTube episode to speak directly to her 450,000 followers. This video was uploaded as usual to her YouTube channel to encourage outrage and a conversation among her fans.

3) The New York Subway Signs Experiment

A wonderful insight here. New York subway conductors have to point at a black and white striped board every time the train stops to prove they are paying attention. Which is completely belittling. With this knowledge, Yosef Lerner decided to brighten up their day with a little play.

2) Lowe Roche - Advertising Professionals

The good, the bad and the ugly stats of advertising professionals vs the norm. Enjoy.

1) In space no one can hear you sing.

However, Lady Gaga is going to try! The rumours are indeed true, Gaga has partnered up with Richard Branson to perform one song and she’ll be the first artist to ever sing in space. That is truly awesome.

That’s it for this week, thank you to all the contributors. If we have missed anything or you see some great work for next week’s blog hit us up.
