Countdown of Awesome: Gift from Coke and men with meat

27 November 2013

This week we have men playing with meat, snooping showrooms and a gift from Coke.

5)Xbox One Ryse: Son of Rome - In Training

What would happen if two twin brothers from our day and age were recruited to the Roman Army and trained in the techniques most proficient at dealing with enemies? Watch to find out.

4)Social showroom

How do you make people feel more at home when they are viewing a new house? A Brazilian company used Facebook connect to pull in peoples pictures, videos and events into TVs, picture frames and even ambient music from their favourite artists. Maybe a bit creepy but a solid method of personalising the experience.

3)Jelly fish drones

Forget quadcopters think jelly fish. This little jelly fish drone only weighs 2 grams and like the jelly fish that live in the sea harness currents it is designed to float in the wind to cover large distances. Like the first quadcopters it will be used primarily for surveillance and mapping but maybe one day it will deliver your pizza.

2)The Magic Bow

Next is something quite magical from Coke.

1)Rings and bracelet sign language translator

This concept will allow deaf people to communicate easily with people not familiar with sign language. At the moment it is only a concept but we think it’s a fantastic idea that could have applications in many other areas like sports. If it can precisely analyse wrist and finger movements maybe it can teach us all to bowel like Shane Warne.
