The Australian Magazine Awards were established in 2009 to recognise magazines that perform at the highest level for publishers and advertisers. The general categories are:
Food & Entertainment
General Interest, Business, Games and Computers
Health & Family
Home & Garden
Motoring & Men's
Newspaper Inserted Magazines
Niche (under 15,000 ABC)
It is not possible to enter these categories awards. Magazines are shortlisted based on ABC circulation, Morgan Readership and, where available, Nielsen ad expenditure data. Final judging is undertaken by a panel of media buyers, marketers and designers.
There are six additional categories that need to be entered by publishers. These are:

Entries for 2014 are closed and the finalists have been announced. The winners will be announced at an industry breakfast at the SCG Noble Stand on Friday 31 October.
