An incredibly raunchy online campaign for condom brand Big Richard features a woman pleasuring herself, but the company is not expecting any complaints.
The online campaign, which is on the brand's Facebook page and YouTube, initially gives the impression the woman is having sex with a man, using Big Richard condoms. By the end of the ad, however, the viewer realises that she is pleasuring herself, using the vibrating Big Richard Naughty Pack.
Despite the sexual nature of the advertisement, Big Richard founder Lloyd Perry said he did not expect to get any complaints about the ad.
“We don't expect anyone to complain. Sure, the ad is risque, but it's fun. If people want to take offence, that is certainly not what we are trying to achieve.”
In fact, Perry said one television network had actually shown interest in the ad, and said it might be suitable for late night slots.
Big Richard is renowned for "cheeky" advertising. Last year, the brand released a campaign via Naked Communications which featured two blow-up rabbits in sexual activity.
The brand is considered a small challenger player in Australia. Its market share is significantly less than local leaders in the space such as Durex, Four Seasons and Ansell.
The campaign was created in-house by Big Richard, not by its creative agency M&C Saatchi.
