Winning with the Losers: Ten makes the TV top 10

Network Ten made a long-overdue appearance in the top 10 most-watched free-to-air TV shows last night, taking out not one but two spots.

Ten's The Biggest Loser: Challenge Australia The Winner Announced and Final Weigh-in shows took out places seven and eight in the TV ratings, winning 949,000 and 860,000 viewers respectively.

Seven's Downton Abbey and My France With Manu were the top ranking non-news shows, according to preliminary overnight ratings figures from OzTam.

Downton Abbey took fourth spot, with 1.068 million viewers across Australia's five metro areas, and My France With Manu won an audience of 1.061 million – beating its launch show audience last week of 813,000.

The only other non-news show to make the top 10 was Nine's David Attenborough's Secrets of Wild India, in 10th spot with 834,000 viewers.

Seven News won the biggest free-to-air audience last night, with 1.372 million people watching, followed by Nine News with 1.231 million.

Completing the top 10 were Seven's Sunday Night, third with an audience of 1.122 million, Nine's 60 Minutes, fifth with 1.064 million, and ABC News, ninth with 839,000.
