Vice brings The Creators Project to Australia

Vice Australia has announced the arrival of The Creators Project to the Australian market, following its roll out in New York, London and Sao Paolo, just to name a few.

Founded by a partnership between Intel and Vice, The Creators Project celebrates and supports visionary artists across multiple disciplines that are using technology in innovative ways to push the boundaries of creative expression.

Launched in 2010, The Creators Project includes daily video and editorial content, an official YouTube channel, and original artwork commissions.

The first piece of content to feature on the site is ‘Leviathan’, a film that explores how emergent technology is shifting the future of storytelling, using The Leviathan, a massive digitized whale created by USC + Intel’s World Building Media Labs, as a primary example.

Vice Australia has also released a new piece of video content for Intel providing a look inside the world of renowned body architect and artist Lucy McRae, exploring how amazing technology can inspire and enable remarkable individuals. See how imagination, drive and technology collide, with a focus on McRae's fascination with the body, biology and machines, and her recent research work with NASA.

The Creators Project Australia will focus on supporting global content while developing and delivering local editorial, covering stories and artists in the Asia Pacific region (including MONA’s Dark Mofo). This will follow previous local content including Sydney’s VIVID Festival’s lighting of the Harbour Bridge and a kinetic sculpture created by Melbourne design practice Eness for Melbourne Museum.

To date, there are more than 500 Creators from around the world with participating artists including Karen O, M83, Animal Collective, The xx, Chris Milk, Spike Jonze, Amon Tobin, Supermarche, United Visual Artists, Mick Rock, David Bowie and Barney Clay.
