Following a ratings debut of 2.5 million viewers, the first episode of Channel Nine’s Underbelly: Razor has been viewed by over 150,000 people online.

The site, which launched through Ninemsn in August, has been entered by over 250,000 fans, and experienced over a million page impressions.

Ninemsn head of entertainment Ben Watts said: “We know from experience that the appetite for additional Underbelly content is huge, therefore this year we worked closely with the production team to curate a rich, broad and engaging online experience that evolves weekly in line with the plot.”

The series is based on Sydney’s infamous 1920s razor gangs.

The series has already been a ratings winner for Channel Nine. After a debut of 2.5 million viewers, its second episode was viewed by 2 million people.
