UM wins William Hill media business, Clems Sydney takes creative

By Brendan Coyne | 5 December 2013

UM has added the $17 million Tom Waterhouse business to its existing Sportingbet account, AdNews understands. Meanwhile, Clemenger Sydney has picked up creative work for Sportingbet.

The brands are part of the William Hill stable after the UK bookmaker acquired them earlier this year.

UM takes the $17 million Waterhouse business from MediaCom and retains the Sportingbet business, thought to be worth in the region of $30 million.

The creative business caps off a strong year for Clemenger Sydney. It is thought that the agency could also undertake work across the William Hill stable should the bookmaker commit to consolidating the brands under one banner.

It is not yet clear when or if that consolidation will happen.

UPDATED: Sportingbet marketing director Claire Murphy has stressed that the accounts have not been finalised and that the business is not likely to be awarded until the end of this week.
