As delegate registrations for the Caxton Seminar and Awards open, organisers for the event have revealed renowned film executive Troy Lum will be among the speakers.
Lum is managing director of Hopscotch Group and director of production at Hopscotch Features.
The company has three films in production this year: Lovers And Sons starring Naomi Watts; sci-fi fantasy I, Frankenstein; and Saving Mr Banks starring Tom Hanks, Emma Thompson and Colin Farrell.
Hopscotch releases have included the films Bowling For Columbine, Touching The Void, Fahrenheit 9/11, Somersault, Downfall, Mrs Henderson Presents, The Lives Of Others, Pan's Labyrinth, Mongol, The Wrestler, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, Mao's Last Dancer, Bright Star, The Kids Are All Right and Incendies.

Judging for the event is currently underway, with finalists due to be revealed on 27 August.
The event will be held from Friday 12 October to Sunday 14 October at Hamilton Island.
