STW’s active engagement agency Tribe Marketing has hired Warren Michael to the newly created role of creative director.

Michael will be responsible for the overall Tribe creative product, from idea development through to execution across a range of clients, with particular focus on Jack Daniel’s, Schweppes and other key accounts.

Michael has previously worked at JWT Melbourne, George Patterson Bates, Clemenger BBDO and The Belong Group and his latest appointment has been a key win for Tribe, CEO Mark Rodgers said.

Rodgers said Michael's experience in through-the-line creative development across brand activation, direct marketing, consumer promotion, experiential marketing and digital for clients such as Foster’s, Mitsubishi, Honda, GSK, Puma, Telstra and Toyota made him the ideal person for the job.

He said the appointment provided a great opportunity for Tribe to build on its overall creative offering.

“We have been experiencing solid growth from our existing client base and new business, and Warren’s breadth and depth of experience is an excellent match for our team, our clients’ needs and for our future direction.

“He brings expertise that will ensure we are continuing to provide best in market creative solutions,” Rodgers said.

Michael said: “There is a lot happening at Tribe right now, and this is an exciting time to be joining the team and to be directing Tribe’s creative development.”
