Everyone likes magazine ads. Almost as much as they like lists of things. This should do the trick.

To get you inspired for the Glossy Awards, we're asking creatives to share their top five magazine ads of all time.

Download the entry kit at GlossyAwards.com. Entries close on 23 July.

M&C Saatchi's Ben Welsh kicked things off, now here's Droga5 executive creative director Duncan Marshall:

Fortune favours the brave. Always has, always will. My favourite magazine ads are the ones that I wouldn’t have been bold enough to think of, present, or pay for.

I make no apologies for not uncovering some unknown gem from  the Reykjavic ad scene. These are familiar because they are great and they deserve to hang on all our office our walls as a reminder not to distrust different.

Behind this work are strategies to tighten the sphincter of the most courageous planner, casting most producers would bin, product truths most clients would want to hide, copy most legal departments would choke at, and subject matter few of us would go near.

I love these ads, they inspire me every day.
