Who should win the race for Coke – the showgirls, the cowboys or the
badlanders? Coca-Cola has given the power over to the viewers to decide
their fates in its Super Bowl ad.
Everyone has come to expect slick, big-budget spectacles from Coca-Cola and this year, it has not disappointed. Taking a cue from its polar bears effort last year, the soft drink giant has once again gone down the interactive route.
The firm has launched a teaser ad which features three groups – the aforementioned showgirls, cowboys and badlanders – vying for an illusory bottle of Coke in a barren desert. Up close, the bottle is a sign promising an oasis of Coke in 50 miles. So the sandy race is on. You, yes you, get to decide who wins.
The 60-second teaser ad will air during the game and the ad featuring the crowd-sourced winner will be broadcast immediately after the gridiron showdown.
Another day closer to the world's most infamous advertising showcase, the Super Bowl, and more ads and teaser ads are hitting the interwebs as brands scurry to flex their creative chops.
