Ten has secured six top-tier sponsors including Swisse, Samsung and Unilever for its coverage of the British & Irish Lions rugby union tour.
Ten has the broadcast rights to the three-match series between the Australian national team, the Wallabies, and the British & Irish Lions. The Lions has already started its tour against Super Rugby teams, including last night's game against the ACT Brumbies.
In addition to Swisse, Samsung and Unilever brand Clear Men Scalp Therapy, other top-tier sponsors to sign up were Land Rover, AMP and The Walt Disney Studio's The Lone Ranger.
Network Ten chief sales officer Barry O'Brien said: “The British & Irish Lions tour has been 12 years in the making. It is event TV at its best. Sponsors could not wait to be part of rugby union on Ten. The level of demand was extraordinary.”
Ten's commentary team will include John Eales, Gordon Bray, Matt Burke, Stirling Mortlock and Scott Mackinnon.
The first Wallabies versus Lions match will be on 22 June. Foxtel will simulcast the game.
