Sling shot: Tom and Ben make the top 10 for Seven

Aussies Tom Williams and Ben O'Donoghue's one-off Singapore Sling show for Seven last night grabbed a spot in the top 10 most-watched free-to-air TV programs.

Tom & Ben's Singapore Sling, which saw TV host Williams and chef O'Donoghue stop over in Singapore on their way home from the Maldives with 36 hours to kill, pulled in 792,000 viewers across Australia's five metro areas.

Other than Home and Away on Seven and two episodes of The Big Bang Theory on Nine, it was a second news-dominated night on the free-to-air networks, according to preliminary overnight ratings figures from OzTam.

Nine won the night overall, taking 27.8% of the audience share, with Nine News and Nine News at 6.30 topping the ratings with 1.254 million and 1.199 million viewers respectively.

The Big Bang Theory took out spots seven and eight, with 959,000 and 945,000 viewers, with Home and Away in fifth place with an audience of 970,000.

Seven News was the third most-watched program, with 1.058 million viewers, followed by Seven's Today Tonight with 993,000.

ABC News was sixth, with an audience of 959,000 and Nine's A Current Affair was ninth, with 929,000.
