Samsung sponsors Aussie athletes at Sochi Winter Games

Samsung has launched a multi-million dollar campaign to support its sponsorship of the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, including sponsoring Aussie athletes Alex ‘Chumpy’ Pullin, Scotty James and Jessica Gallagher.

Samsung is also funding a Winter Olympics TV show Roy and HG’s Russian Revolution @ Samsung Stadium hosted by sports commentators Roy Slaven and HG Nelson that will air on Network Ten. The content will also be available on Samsung's Stadium app.

It has also forged collaborations between Aussie athletes and artists as part of the 'Design Your Moment' campaign aims to inspire athletes to go for gold at the Games.

Pullin, a Boardercross snowboarder, worked with music producer Sampology to create a motivational track, while graffiti artist Vexta has painted an eagle in a Melbourne laneway intended to signify the "flying feeling" snowboarder Scotty James feels when he’s competing.

Video content for both collaborations is being hosted online.

Samsung will also provide all Australian competitors and members of the Australian Olympic team with Samsung smartphones.

Australia is sending more athletes to compete in the Games than any previous Winter Olympics.
