The Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) has launched an open tender for its creative account, currently held by agencies including Junior, Red Suit and BCM.

TMR, which governs road safety, licensing and travel, told AdNews the structure of its current creative services arrangement was due to expire.

The government body said in a statement: "TMR is seeking a provider to deliver contemporary, integrated social marketing strategies and creative services to improve community safety.

"Road safety will be the primary focus, however, other subject matter may include recreational boating safety, rail level crossing safety and emergencies."

A spokesperson told AdNews: "This is an open tender process and all offers will be considered."

It currently holds a number of agencies including Red Suit, Junior and BCM. None of the incumbents were available for comment about whether they would repitch.

The tender, released last week, will close on 10 September.
