Postcode lottery: Realestate.com.au crowdsources images for website

Realestate.com.au is trying to engage users and populate its website with homemade pictures. It has launched a campaign urging people to submit snaps of their neighbourhood. There are daily prizes for the best pictures.

“We want Australians to get creative and show us via the power of a photo what they love about their suburb," said group manager-marketing operations Ed McManus. "Whether it's a person, a place or a thing that encapsulates the very essence of your area, we want to see it.”

Daily winners get a $200 Visa gift card. The overall winners (one from each state) will bag a $1,000 Visa gift card.

The compeition runs until the end of February.
