As another year of television ratings wars looms - with free-to-air networks luring an increasingly fractured audience with programming designed to shock, entertainment and inform us - we want to know what you are most looking forward to.
Network Ten is banking on an early start, bringing forward its new programming to commence this Sunday with a revamped kitschy 1980s favorite Young Talent Time, followed by critically claimed US series Homeland, Modern Family and New Girl.
Ratings juggernaut MasterChef will make a return later in the year, but questions remain over whether it will be able to sustain the same ratings numbers, which suffered a dip last year.
Seven has been heavily promoting its 2012 offerings throughout the summer and current tennis coverage with viewers inundated with spots for My Kitchen Rules and Revenge. Last year's audience favorite Downton Abbey will make an appearance on screens later in the year while securing the AFL broadcast rights should boost Seven's number's too.
Nine is hoping for a big year with its Olympics coverage (even with an inconvenient time zone difference) and reality offerings Excess Baggage, Big Brother and The Block. New Australian family drama Tricky Business has also been heavily promoted while a biographical series about Kerry Packer has at least the media industry abuzz. A second series of BBC production Sherlock is also being heavily billed on Nine at the moment.
SBS's Go Back Where You Came From, that rare combination of being popular with both audiences and critics, will return for a second series this year.
The TV networks will be clamoring to capture an audience increasingly flocking to digital platforms for its entertainment needs.
