Omnicom has acquired SEO firm Bruce Clay Australasia which will join the holding company's Resolution search network.

Bruce Clay will be folded into Resolution, itself a 2012 consolidation of Omnicom's search capabilities. Bruce Clay founders Des Odell and Jeremy Bolt will become joint chief executives of Resolution Australia.

Odell said: “Aligning with Omnicom Media Group made perfect sense to us as we work with them already on shared clients and believe that the time is right in this market for Resolution Media to shine.”

Omnicom Media Group chief executive Leigh Terry said: “I've had the pleasure of watching Des and Jeremy (co-founder) from afar over the last few years and believe they have built a phenomenal business that is second to none in the SEO space.

“I am truly excited at the power of the potential of this supercharged resolution. This will be a flagship operation for us globally and we look forward to welcoming Des and Jeremy and their whole team into the wider Omnicom Media Group family.”
