NRMA Motoring & Services has appointed Match Media to handle strategy after a competitive pitch.

The buying component of the business, handled by Mediacom, was not under review.

NRMA head of marketing and digital, members and brand, Jason Stidworthy, said: “NRMA decided to review the strategic component of its existing media agency business partners.  We elected to appoint Match as the agency to take us forward as our preferred partner in media strategy.”

Match Media chief executive John Preston said: “NRMA Motoring & Services is a very well-known brand and we are proud to have them as part of our roster of strategy only clients. We are looking forward to working with the diversity of businesses that make up NRMA and helping them with the business challenges they face.”

Match Media's other strategy-only clients include Pepsi, Pfizer, Ateco Automotive and Ikea.
