The Voice will kick off on Channel Nine on 4 May.

The news follows the announcement from Ten and Seven yesterday on the start dates for Masterchef and House Rules. Seven's House Rules kicks off at 7:30pm on Wednesday 30 April. Masterchef returns to Ten at 7:30pm on 5 May.

Kylie Minogue and Will.I.Am are joining the line up of judges on The Voice this season alongside previous judges Ricky Martin and Joel Madden.

The Voice will air at 6:30 on Sunday 4 May and then 7:30pm on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday night.

Nine is expecting big ratings for the return season of the singing show and has already secured a strong line up of advertising partners and sponsors including Qantas, which has turned to sister brand Jetstar's agency Big Red rather than its own lead agency Droga5 to create its ads for the season.

Commonwealth Bank, Vodafone, Swisse, Ford Australia, Australian Super and KFC have also signed up as sponsors.
