Maccas teams up with Ekka
McDonald's was signed on as a sponsor to Queensland's Ekka, an exhibition staged in Brisbane to showcase the state's fashion, agriculture and education businesses. The fast food giant will be a major sponsor of the Beef Cattle pavilion as well as smaller projects. The partnership was managed by UM.

Gibson to judge ACES
Publicis Mojo creative group head Dave Gibson will join the judging panel of The Australian Creative Excellence Showcase awards. The Val Morgan-sponsored awards also feature on its panel BWM executive creative director Rob Belgiovane, AdNews editor-in-chief Paul McIntyre and Val Morgan Brandfit productions manager Philipa Murphy.

SportingPulse recruits marketing head
Sports website SportingPulse has hired Vaughan Belhamine as sales & marketing director. Belhamine joins the 51% News Limited-owned website from REA Group where he was head of REA Media. He also served as a board member of the IAB until a month ago.
