The Works recruits Tim Addington
Independent ad agency The Works has hired B&T associate publisher and editor Tim Addington as communications director, a newly created position. He will be tasked with internal and external communications and assist with business development. Addington has been at B&T for the past five years and previously worked at Campaign Middle East.

BlueArc staffs up
Digital agency BlueArc has expanded its team with the recruitment of four new staff to its salea and account management team. Daniel Finn and Glenn Wilson join as business directors while Michelle Werner comes on board as account director. Experian Digital staffer Shane Antrobus has joined the Melbourne office as senior account director.

Brisbane Fest releases app
The Brisbane Festival has unveiled a free smartphone app for Apple and Android. The app will allow festival-goers to access information about 459 performances, a festival feed, plus check-in and add to online galleries.

Cadreon appoints Ryan Seaver as head of social trading
Cadreon, IPG Mediabrands' independant online performance platform, has appointent Ryan Seaver as the head of its social trading division. The division is focused on multi-platform media buying across social sites including Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.
