Cannes Lions names jury presidents
The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity has revealed three jury presidents, with Havas global chief executive and Euro RSCG Worldwide global CEO David Jones to judge the Creative Effectiveness Lions category. OMD Worldwide chief executive Mainardo de Nardis will chair the Media Lions category, while Wieden + Kennedy global interactive executive creative director Iain Tait will be jury president of the Cyber Lions jury.
ACP Mags bolsters editorial team
ACP Magazines has appointed NW executive editor Corrine Barraclough to the position of editor. Barraclough replaces Lisa Sinclair who has moved to Woman's Day as executive editor. Meanwhile, Good Health has appointed Yasemin Trollope as beauty editor. Trollope is a beauty writer, editor, online video presenter, TV regular and social marketing expert.
The Leading Edge on hiring spree
Brand insights group, The Leading Edge has bolstered its team with new recruits. Consumer market research firm Kantar Worldpanel business development team head Suzy Hegg has been appointed to the position of client director. International branding and communication firm Millward Brown's analytics expert Ben Birks joins TLE's advanced quantitative and data analytics team. Brand analyst Rebecca Lester joins as senior account manager. Rebecca was previously a consultant with UK-based brand strategy agency Sparkler.
New agency Pixel Demon is born
Former digital creative director Clint Nielson has started his own digital studio Pixel Demon. Nielsen held digital creative roles with Publicis Mojo, The Works, MRM Worldwide (the digital division of McCann Worldgroup) as well as consulting freelance roles with Tribal DDB and Clemenger BBDO.
The Face lands Telstra's employer branding contract
Following an tender process and three-way pitch, employer and HR communication consultancy The Face has won Telstra's employer branding account. The three year contract focuses on communicating Telstra's employee value proposition to market as the employer of choice.
Advance Pet Food launches Walk Around Australia event
Advance Pet Food has launched The Advance Walk Around Australia, via the agency BD Network, encouraging Australians to take part in a collective dog walk in support of Guide Dogs Australia. The event is user friendly, participants can enter through the Advance Facebook page and via The Advance Walk Around Australia app.
The Advertiser and Sunday Mail brings back cookbook collection
News Limited's The Advertiser and Sunday Mail has relaunched a Mini Cookbook Collection. The Collection kicks off with a free George & Gary mini cookbook and collector case on Saturday. The collection includes Jamie Oliver, Donna Hay, Maggie Beer and Kylie Kwong and is available for $2 a day.
