Seven takes ratings pole
The 2012 Brownlow Medal broadcast drew in 956,000 metro viewers on Seven, according to preliminary overnight figures from OzTam. News programs - Seven News, Nine News and ABC News - dominated the top three spots while Nine's Big Brother was just under the million mark in fifth position. Ten's Can of Worms and Don't Tell the Bride attracted 592,000 and 472,000 viewers respectively. Seven won the day with 26.9% of audience share.

ASTRA rolls on with grad program
Subscription TV industry body ASTRA has launched its third annual ASTRA Graduate Program which provides three-month contracts for Foundation Diploma graduates from the Australian Film, Television and Radio School. Fox Sports, Foxtel, BBC Worldwide Australia, TVSN & Expo Channel, Disney Channels, TV1 & SF, Studio & World Movies, and Aurora Community Channel will host the 10 positions.
