NewsLife hires Dynamix
Magazine publisher NewsLifeMedia has appointed Dynamix to develop consumer campaigns for its food titles, Super Food Ideas, Delicious and website Taste.com.au. The first campaign, for Super Food Ideas, was launched last week to support the magazine's relaunch issue.

Fairfax on hunt for CMO
Fairfax Media's search for a chief marketing officer is still underway, despite the restructure plans. AdNews understands the recruitment has not been held up by the upheaval in the media company, and Metro Media chief executive Jack Matthews conducted interviews for the role last week.

WPP takes top honour at Cannes
London-based holding company WPP has been named Holding Company of the Year at the Cannes Lions Festival for the second year in a row. The award is based on the total number of Lions won by the holding company's agencies. WPP notched up 1554.5 points, followed by Omnicom with 1375.5 and Publicis with 1032.

Draftfcb named best government agency
Draftfcb New Zealand has been named the world's most effective agency in the global Effies Government and Non-Profit category. Draftfcb has created social change campaigns for clients including The Ministry of Health, Alcohol Advisory Council and Family Violence. The 2012 Effie Effectiveness Index was revealed at this year's Cannes Lions Festival.
