2012 Effie Awards sees 203 entries
The 2012 Australian Effie Awards have attracted 203 entries from 62 agencies on behalf of 92 clients. The judging of the 18 categories begins 29 May. The winners will be announced on 6 September. The Effies are jointly presented by The Communications Council and the AANA.
Day & Age appoints partner
Creative agency Day & Age has appointed OgilvyOne Melbourne head of direct strategy and consulting Catherine Graham as a partner. In her new role, Graham will lead the agency’s CRM, data and digital strategy. Graham has previously worked with M&C Saatchi Melbourne as head of direct.
Vena Reconnect wins Powerbuys
E-commerce website Powerbuys has appointed the newly launched creative shop Vena Reconnect to handle all digital communications related to the Powerbuys national operations. Powerbuys is an online store offering electrical goods including vacuum cleaners, kitchen appliances, digital cameras, coffee machines, GPS devices, cordless phones and camping goods. Vena Reconnect will work on driving return-on-investment for Powerbuys.
