Clems Melb appoints GAD
Clemenger BBDO Melbourne has hired former Coca-Cola brand director – Energy Dan Lacaze as group account director on its Bupa business. Lacaze was most recently group head at Whybin TBWA Sydney where he worked on the RaboDirect, Pfizer and Suntory accounts. He has also done stints at Urban Communications, M&C Saatchi and Ogilvy.

Mag bosses to headline conference
ACP chief executive Matt Stanton and NewsLifeMedia chief executive Nicole Sheffield will headline the Publishers Australia Magazine Week conference. Other speakers include Westwick-Farrow Media publisher Geoff Hird, Hunter5 Publishing chief executive Ash Hunter, and UK consultant Alan Weaver. Media personality Andrew Daddo will host the conference which is to take place at the Sydney Hilton on 15 and 16 November.

Hulbosch boosts strategy
Branding and design agency Hulsbosch has recruited Michele O'Neill as strategy director. She returned to Australia after 20 years away and was most recently based in London and Paris with Lowe + Partners where she was global strategy director. She had previously worked for Ogilvy for 15 years and across brands including Unilever, Nike, Electrolux and Disney.

Woman's Day gets makeover
ACP weekly title Woman's Day has unveiled a revamp with a new design, content and extra features. The food section has been overhauled, the puzzle section has been expanded and the magazine has recruited 'psychic' Mitchell Coombes.

Innocean hires four new creatives
Innocean Australia has bolstered its creative department with the addition of four new heads. Yanni Pounartzis and Matt Cramp have taken the reins as senior copywriters, with Tim Brothers being hired as copywriter. Rua Perston has joined the agency as senior art director. The recruits, each previously freelancing for the agency prior to being appointed, will be reporting to creative director Scott Lambert.
